Commonwealth Hotels Names Blaine Anderson Senior Director of Revenue Management

PRESS RELEASE – Commonwealth Hotels is pleased to announce the hire of Blaine Anderson as senior director of revenue management. In this role, Anderson will oversee the revenue management department, with a focus on building and supporting a revenue management team that will continue to deliver industry leading results.

Anderson started his hospitality career in 1981 working for Maddens Resort in Minnesota while completing degrees in business marketing and political science at St. Cloud State University. Upon graduating, Anderson began an 18 year career with Marriott International, beginning as front desk supervisor, and gaining further experience in roles as front desk manager, reservations manager, front office manager and director of room operations.

In 1997 Anderson found his niche in revenue management. He established the first cluster director of revenue management position for Marriott in Salt Lake City, Utah with responsibility over 13 hotels. He was also the director of market strategy in Vancouver, BC. 

Anderson expanded his brand experience in 2000 when he was hired by Hilton Hotels Corporation as regional director of revenue management for the Southeastern United States. He was promoted to positions as corporate director of revenue management and brand director of training and implementation for the Embassy Suites brand. 

Anderson shifted to working for hotel management groups, including Commonwealth Hotels in 2006, as well as HEI Hotels and Resorts. For the past six years he has worked with Schulte Hospitality Group with positions ranging from corporate director of revenue management, vice president of sales and revenue management, to senior vice president of revenue management.
