Commonwealth Hotels Appoints Robin Matthews General Manager at Homewood Suites by Hilton Lexington

PRESS RELEASE – Commonwealth Hotels is pleased to announce the promotion of Robin Matthews to the position of general manager at Homewood Suites by Hilton Lexington.  In her role as general manager, Matthews will oversee hotel operations, sales, and community and guest relations – focusing her efforts on driving revenue, controlling costs and ensuring guest and associate satisfaction.

“We’re excited for Robin’s new opportunity to grow with Commonwealth Hotels,” Area Director of Operations Denise Tempco said. “Over the years, Robin has held various roles within Commonwealth. Her strong Hilton background will allow her to excel in her new role, where I know she will continue to take a ‘whatever it takes’ approach.”

Matthews has 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry.  She has held various management positions in focused service and extended stay properties for hotel brands including Homewood Suites, Hampton by Hilton and Hyatt Place. Matthews has been with Commonwealth Hotels since 2010.

Located at 249 Ruccio Way, Homewood Suites by Hilton Lexington is adjacent to Fayette Mall and only ten minutes from downtown. Last fall the property underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in its guest rooms and public spaces. The 91-room hotel features studio, one-bedroom, and two bedroom suites.

Each suite includes the modern comforts of home ideal for an extended stay: a fully-equipped kitchen with coffeemaker, microwave oven and brand new residential-sized appliances. Rooms also include features that provide guests the ability to work while on the road including a well-lit work desk, ergonomic chair and complimentary high-speed internet access.
